The Virginia Society of Plastic Surgery mourns the loss of one of its founding members, Claude C. “Jack” Coleman, Jr., M.D. of Richmond. Dr. Coleman founded the Division of Plastic Surgery at University of Virginia in 1956 and went on to develop its residency program before establishing a private practice in Richmond in the 1960s. He is remembered at UVA at an annual craniofacial lectureship that bears his name. His obituary may be found here.
